How do you do an EFT?

You can divide EFT tapping into 5 steps. When you have one or more problems or anxiety, you can perform this sequence to resolve it and reduce the severity of negative feelings.

1. Recognize issue

To be successful in this technique, you must first identify a problem or fear that you are having. When tapping, this will be your focal point. Focusing on just one issue at a time is supposed to boost the result.

2. Check the Initial intensity

You need to set a target intensity once you have identified the potential issue. The level of severity is measured on a scale of 0 to 10, with 10 being the worst or most challenging.   • IF: Index Finger
  • MF: Middle Finger
  • BF: Baby Finger
  • KC: Karate Chop

Start by tapping the karate chop point while repeating your setup phrase three times at the same time. Then, tapping approximately 7 times on each point and starting from the eyebrow point, tap each point in the order they appear down the body. Complete the process on top of the head after the underarm point.

5.Test the final intensity

Rate the severity of the problem on a scale of 0-10 after you’ve done two rounds of tapping. The problem might have been:

  • Completely disappeared – good job!
  • Reduced in severity – do more rounds of tapping, adjusting the phrasing properly.
  • In the case of physical pain, moved to elsewhere in the body change to something else- do the further round of tapping.
  • If you feel relaxed, stop, and move on.

How Often Should I Do EFT Tapping?

You should find a good rhythm and pace for you after you have tapped for some time. Each person is different and if you stay focused for a while, some things may be handled faster. To begin with, some people like to tap 2-3 times a day for a short period (a few rounds of tapping), but there’s no minimum requirement for this to work.
